Cody O'Neill - Counsellor Training Coordinator

Cody is a social worker and the Counsellor Training Coordinator at Moving Forward Family Services. In this role, he supports student counsellors and social workers in developing their skills early in their counselling practice. Cody also builds relationships with counsellors and educators from around the world who contribute to the Moving Forward community, bringing renowned expertise and valuable learning opportunities to our counsellors and social workers across Canada.

Accepting Internship Applications

Cody lives in Victoria, BC, on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen peoples, who have stewarded the land for over 4,000 years prior to European arrival and colonization.

Cody brings an enthusiasm for learning and has made it his mission to share resources with students and volunteer counsellors seeking to build confidence and develop new skills within the professions of counselling and social work.

In his private practice, Cody offers brief therapy (typically 9–12 sessions) to adults experiencing presenting concerns such as depressive symptoms, anxious distress, adjustment to stress and life transitions, insomnia, suicidality, and persistent grief.

Cody is available to provide supervision to social work and undergraduate students interested in exploring program development at Moving Forward Family Services.
