The Veteran Wellness and Community Support Program bridges the gap between military and civilian life through holistic, trauma-informed care. We, in collaboration with veterans, veteran family members and service providers, offer practical and emotional support to veterans and their families, tailored to their lived realities. Rooted in empathy, cultural understanding, and community connection, this program helps veterans reclaim wellness, purpose, and belonging.
This province-wide program offers 1:1 mental health counselling and everyday support to veterans and their families, addressing issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. We provide wellness workshops, developed in collaboration with those who have lived experience, including veteran families. Our team has received training through our in-house Veteran Culture Training Program and have the skills and sensitivity to offer culturally informed and respectful support. Services are low-barrier, trauma-informed, and designed to meet each veteran where they are.
We provide free, individualized support from anxiety around paper work to goal-setting, to help veterans manage day-to-day life with dignity and consistency.
Our wellness workshops explore trauma, relationships, financial health, and self-healing, co-created with veteran families to ensure relevance and safety.
Interns receive specialized training in veteran culture, trauma, and communication to deliver culturally sensitive care and advocacy.
We partner with veteran-serving organizations across BC to expand our reach and ensure no veteran or family feels left behind.
