Libo brings a wealth of insight, experience, and knowledge to the Moving Forward Family Services board.
Among her 20+ years of career experience, Libo has acquired skills in multiculturalism, multi languages, immigration, counselling, science, technology, and real estate. Libo holds professional memberships with the BC Career Development Association (BCCDA), the Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC) and the BC Real Estate Association (BCREA). Libo is currently employed as a “work integrated learning coordinator” with the University Canada West. She provides career advising, delivers workshops, organizes events and provides program development and connects students with employers in their practicums.
Libo holds a PhD in science; a diploma in Computer Information Systems; a certificate in Canadian Immigration Laws, Policies and Procedures; and a certificate in Addiction Counselling. Libo is a firm believer in life long learning. In addition to her service on the board of Moving Forward Family Services, Libo also volunteers at the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society. She also volunteers with the Red Cross within the Disaster Management Program. She is especially passionate about career development, immigration and education and mental health.
Finally, in her spare time, Libo enjoys gardening, thrifting, and spending time with friends and family. Libo speaks to the importance of family. She has two sons with whom she is very proud. Libo stated that being a mother has been the most important role that she has undertaken.
