Linda has over 25 years of experience working in post-secondary and career counselling settings, for employee assistance programs, and in addiction and mental health services.
Linda and her family have created home on the unceded traditional and ancestral territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən peoples represented by the Songhees, Esquimalt, and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
Linda comes from an extensive background of working from trauma-informed and holistic approaches, which allows clients and supervisees to deepen their relationship with self and others. She has over 25 years of practice in a variety of settings, which include the following areas of focus: Trauma, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, LifeTransitions, and Couples Counselling. She believes from her work and her own counselling in people finding their authentic voices and in discovering wisdom.She practices from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused, and Mindfulness approaches. She also draws from Self-Relational Theory, FamilySystems Therapy, and focuses on strengths and solutions as she facilitates the individual and couple’s journey. In addition, Linda is certified in EMDR (EyeMovement Desensitization Reprocessing).
